The Vietnamese low cost airline VietJet Air was founded in 2007. They offer both domestic and international connections, and have a total of more than 40 destinations. VietJet Air has five operating bases in the country, like for example Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City They are not a part of any worldwide airline alliance, but have a codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines.
